The University has an institutional target to be energy neutral by 2025.

It is on track to achieve this target through on-site initiatives, its electricity supply agreement and the purchasing of carbon credits to offset its natural gas use.

It also has aspirations to be carbon neutral from its operations (Scope 1 and 2 emissions) by 2025 and include emissions of its value chain (Scope 3 emissions) by no later than 2040. Emission levels are provided under Reporting. 

The University supports staff and student events to be carbon neutral.
